DESCRIPTION:Do your bit for the environment and help Care for Hedland to blitz the streets of Hedland! \nNominate a team to join in the blitz! Teams can be made up of community or school groups\, businesses or a bunch of mates. Teams (minimum of five) can use any equipment at their disposal to “blitz” (remove rubbish\, mow verges\, tidy edges) their street. The winning team will not only receive bragging rights but also a trophy and medals! \nRemember to wear closed in shoes and drink plenty of water on the day\, as the competition will be HOT! \n  \nDate: TBC (check our Facebook page for updates!)

DESCRIPTION:Recycle Day is organised by Care For Hedland with the help of Toxfree and PTES. Skip bins for paper/cardboard\, hard plastics and glass\, as well as a bag for aluminium cans\, are available for two hours from 8am until 10am on the second Saturday of every month. \nTwo locations: South Hedland shopping centre carpark AND Port Hedland Turf Club. \nAll recycling must be clean with NO FOOD RESIDUE and correctly sorted. Talk to our volunteers on the day if you aren’t sure of what is accepted and pick up a free recycling guide!
